About Amy
I've been hanging out in kitchens, cooking and eating as long as I can remember. Long before the Food Network was cool, I was watching Frugal Gourmet on PBS. But, I took the leap to make it my profession when I moved to NYC and attended the French Culinary Institute, now known as the International Culinary Center.  After graduating I started my own personal chef company, Beets Cooking. Since then my business has grown as has my family. In 2018 my wife and I had our son and moved to the Hudson Valley to get some space and dirt under our kid's feet. I look forward to bringing my city clients as well as the local ones the benefits of my explorations of the area's farms, markets and vibrant food culture.
